At SANSUI NISEKO, hospitality is expressed in quiet ways — through thoughtful details, genuine care, and an atmosphere that allows guests to feel instantly at ease. Behind that experience is a team guided by people who understand that comfort is often found in what feels natural and effortless.
A Journey Shaped by Global Experience
Kohei Iwata, Hotel Manager of SANSUI NISEKO. His journey in hospitality began with an international hotel group in Yokohama before bringing him to Niseko in 2007. Later, he expanded his experience in Australia and New Zealand, developing a broader international perspective through years of working abroad. Since returning to Japan in 2016, he has continued to welcome guests to Niseko with warmth, professionalism, and care.
What Makes Niseko Special
What makes Niseko truly special to him is not only its world-renowned snow, but the way this place naturally brings people together from around the world. Living and working here offers daily opportunities to connect with different cultures, values, and stories — something he considers one of the greatest privileges of life in Niseko.
A Thoughtful View of Hospitality
When asked what hospitality means to him, Iwata’s answer is simple. It is not about grand gestures or elaborate service. It is about creating an environment where guests feel welcomed, understood, and free to simply be themselves. Those quiet moments of comfort are what he and his team strive to create each day.
A Message to Guests
Whether guests arrive for adventure, rest, or a peaceful escape, his hope remains the same: that every stay at SANSUI NISEKO becomes a beautiful memory, filled with quiet joy and Pure Bliss.
